My van insurance and keeping it on the road

If you have any helpful comments or tips….I’m all ears I actually have crappy liability coverage for a lot of money. Next month it either won’t be an expense or will be less….depending on whether I switch to NY plates or quit driving. The rate is based in Lakeland, Florida, then they tacked on extra for being in NY and meeting this state’s minimum requirements. In order to keep driving past my birthday next month, I have to get NY inspection($?) and plates ($58) and a NY license ($?). To pass N
