I’m overwhelmed.  I’m feeling so grateful right now and so incredibly thankful for the generosity of complete strangers.  There is no way I can even begin to give back the kindness people have shown us these past few days. Every time I log in to my email my inbox is filled with more messages from people offering help - a place to stay… a car for a few days… a play date for the kids…  It’s all just so…overwhelming. As a geologist, I love most rocks I encounter. But yesterday morning, I went out to my car and saw this: Can you tell what's missing? How we use our checking and savings accounts

We use our checking accounts to pay bills and do our regular shopping. Pretty basic, yeah? We don’t earn much interest from it, but that doesn’t matter since the money isn’t in our checking accounts for long, since hey, bills are due every month, ya know? There is a small rewards program linked to our accounts, and from time to time we’ll get a gift card to
