BMW seems like not very much for probably not very much of a car. You're probably buying a $1500 car and paying $1500 for the BMW emblems. Not to mention the almost never mentioned HIGH cost of maintenance on nearly all German made cars. If you don't NEED a car for college save the money, get a degree and buy a nice newer vehicle.
