Even as a twenty-something, I am very aware of my responsibilities to my kids. Sure, my kids are not bipeds. They're quadrupeds with wagging tales and wet noses, but they're my babies nonetheless and I make an effort to make sure that those two faces don't end up in the pound or animal shelter and that no matter what, the house they live in now will be the house they live in later. If I were to get into a car accident or something I would leave behind a lot of student loans.
